Iñaki Úcar received his BSc. in Telecommunications Engineering and MSc. in Communications from Universidad Pública de Navarra (UPNA) in 2011 and 2013 respectively, and his M.Sc. in Telematics Engineering from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) in 2014. Currently, he holds the position of Teaching Assistant and pursues his PhD in the Department of Telematic Engineering of UC3M. His work focuses on energy efficiency of wireless networks.
  • simmer: Discrete-Event Simulation for R [GitHub] CRAN\_Status\_Badge (see [1])
    A process-oriented and trajectory-based Discrete-Event Simulation (DES) package for R. It is designed as a generic yet powerful framework. The architecture encloses a robust and fast simulation core written in C++ with automatic monitoring capabilities. It provides a rich and flexible R API that revolves around the concept of trajectory, a common path in the simulation model for entities of the same type.

  • VideoTester: Video Quality Assessment Tool [GitHub] (see [8])
    Framework for video quality assessment over a real or simulated IP network, suitable for implementing any kind of metric: data metrics, picture metrics, packet-based metrics, bitstream-based metrics or hybrid metrics; with full-reference, reduced-reference or no-reference.

  • NaNTools: Network aNalysis Tools [GitHub] (see [6])
    Yet another set of network analysis tools. Currently, there are the following tools:
    • infodups identifies and marks duplicate packets in PCAP files
    • tseries computes multiple time series from PCAP files
