Jaume Barcelo received his B.Eng. degree in Computer Communications from Universitat de les Illes Balears. After a short stay with the Radio Communications Research Group at Kaiserslautern Universitaet, he moved to Barcelona where he obtained his M.Eng. in Telecommunications from Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya. He holds a Ph.D. from Universitat Pompeu Fabra where he was part of the NeTS group. Currently, he is a postdoctoral researcher with the Netcom group at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. His research interests are in the field of MAC protocols for WLANs.
