This course is organised in 5 modules:
Each of these modules consists of 4 sessions. They are organized as follows: the first 3 sessions will be devoted to the introduction of a concrete problem/scenario by the professor, and discussion regarding the topics required to deal with it. A task related with the scenario, will be suggested by the professor and has to be solved by the students. In the last session, the students will present the work they have done, which will be evaluated.
Solving the proposed problems/questions will require proactive and collaborative work from the students, in order to learn the required knowledge and perform the tasks suggested by the professor. Part of the expected effort needed to fulfil the task is expected to be done out of the official course scheduled timetable. Due to this, the evaluation session will be usually weeks after the 3rd introductory session, in order to give the students enough time to solve the proposed task.
The final evaluation is obtained combining the results of the evaluation of each individual module.
Active participation in the discussion sessions is also taken into account for evaluation purposes. The attendance to at least a 60% of the mandatory sessions is required in order to pass the course.
