 SHORT BIO

Pablo Serrano got his Telecommunication Engineering degree and his PhD from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) in 2002 and 2006, respectively. He has been with the Telematics Department of UC3M since 2002, where he currently holds the position of Associate Professor. He was a visiting researcher at the Computer Network Research Group at Univ. of Massachusetts Amherst in 2007 under a José Castillejo grant, at Telefonica Research Center in Barcelona in 2013, at the School of Computer Science and Statistics at Trinity College Dublin in 2015, and at Universita degli Studi di Brescia in 2016.

He has over 70 scientific papers in peer-reviewed international journal and conferences. He serves on the Editorial Board of IEEE Communications Letters, has served as guest editor for Computer Networks, and has served on the TPC of a number of conferences and workshops including IEEE INFOCOM, IEEE WoWMoM and IEEE Globecom.

His research interests lie in the analysis of computer communications systems, in particular wireless networks, including resource allocation problems, energy consumption analysis, and the design of network protocols and systems. Recently, he enjoys carrying out experimental performance evaluation of protocols and communication systems. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE.
